Zebra: Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Sona Pets LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Zebra mobile app to help users track mindful drinking habits. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using Zebra, you agree to this policy.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: Email address, display name, and authentication credentials used to secure your account and sync your logs.
• App activity: Drink logs, spacer logs, check-ins, session data, sensitivity settings, streaks, and other data you enter in the app.
• Device & usage data: Basic technical data (e.g., app version, platform) needed to operate and improve the service.
• Notifications preferences: Your opt-in choices for local reminders (e.g., Friday reminders, spacer nudges).

3. Apple Health (iOS) & Health Connect (Android)

Health sync is optional and off by default. We only access health data if you explicitly enable Live Recovery Sync in Profile settings and grant permission through your device.

• Apple Health (HealthKit) on iOS: If enabled, Zebra may read heart rate data from Apple Health. Zebra uses Apple's HealthKit APIs solely to calibrate in-app estimates such as your Social Battery starting level and stress multiplier. Zebra does not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or sale to third parties.
• Health Connect on Android: If enabled, Zebra may read equivalent heart rate data from Health Connect under the same purposes.
• On-device processing: Health data is used to calculate app metrics on your device. We do not upload raw HealthKit or Health Connect records to our servers for storage or profiling.
• No medical use: Health data is not used to diagnose, treat, or monitor any medical condition. Metrics are informational estimates only.
• Your control: You can disable sync in Profile, revoke permissions in Apple Health or Health Connect, or delete your Zebra account at any time. Disabling sync stops further health data access.

Apple Health and Health Connect are third-party services governed by Apple and Google respectively. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

4. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Zebra app.
• Sync your logs and settings across devices when you are signed in.
